Security 2018 in Essen: Focus on secure access

At this year's Security Essen from 25 to 28 September, ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH will present solutions relating to all aspects of secure access. New additions include the SCALA mobile features to make access control mobile, as well as the software-application SCALA offline for Aperio® elements. The manufacturer will also be presenting the RW6 reversible keying system, the CLIQ® Connect locking and access control system, the CLIQ® Go electronic master key system and escape route technology solutions.

The SCALA access control is characterised by its simple, variable scalability – from a single door, to any desired number of doors. No software is required for the single-door solution SCALA solo or the next-highest web-based solution package SCALA web/web+. The client-server solution SCALA net is the biggest SCALA variant, developed for large building complexes.

With the new SCALA mobile features SCALA net App Access and SCALA net Mobile Access, SCALA net is now becoming even more convenient and secure. The app turns a smartphone into a key and access authorisations can be allocated quickly and securely regardless of the location. A mobile variant is also available for the single door solution SCALA solo: Thanks to the new SCALA solo app, access authorisations can also be set up and managed and doors released via a tablet or smartphone. It will also be possible to save time schedules in the future.

Parallel to the SCALA mobile features, ASSA ABLOY has developed the SCALA offline solution for quick configuration of Aperio® offline escutcheons and cylinders. With this solution, access authorisations are allocated for a pure Aperio® offline system via an access matrix. The configuration and management of the entire system takes place via a Windows application that requires no software installation.

Intelligent master key systems for high security

The various master key systems in the CLIQ® range are suitable for smaller companies and for locking solutions with over 50,000 cylinders. The system developed by ASSA ABLOY consists of components that offer the highest security. The electromechanical solution VERSO®CLIQ combines highly developed microelectronics with an intelligent software solution in a reliable, mechanical locking cylinder system. As a purely electronic variant, eCLIQ offers high-security protection against tampering and intelligent break-in attempts. CLIQ® Connect also makes the management of eCLIQ mobile. For the locking and access control system with app, ASSA ABLOY was recently awarded the Gold Protector 2018 – chosen by the readers of the specialist magazine Protector & Wik, as well as users of the online-portal Sicherheits.info. The electronic master key system CLIQ® Go for smaller applications supplements the CLIQ® range. This system can also be programmed and controlled via an app and recently received the GIT Security Award 2018 in the category access, intrusion and perimeter protection.

RW6 reversible keying system

The patented RW6 reversible keying system is a convenient mechanical locking solution with an outstanding price-performance ratio. It can be used for both smaller and larger master key systems. The name is the key: It doesn't matter whether the key is inserted into the locking cylinder to the left or to the right - the door is always easy to open and close with reversible keying. The RW6 cylinder offers multiple levels of protection against tampering (in accordance with EN 1303:2015). The system also offers a long service life and is twice as corrosion-resistant compared with the standard.

ePED

In case of emergency of panic, all components of the escape route management system must work together perfectly. The ePED technology from the ASSA ABLOY brand effeff combines the electrically controlled emergency exit technology with the complex door system and its control technology via intelligent bus-based Hi-O Technology. ePED stands for electrically controlled Panic Exit Device. One system component is the ePED panic push bar – a combination of a locking system and an innovative operating concept. The time-delayed release of the emergency exits as protection against tampering is a further advantage of ePED.

The experts from ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik will be available to answer questions and for specialist discussions during the trade fair in Hall 3, Stand D80.
